Railing Installation in Atlanta
Aluminum, deck, stair, and porch railings installed and replaced to current code, by the same owner-led crew that builds our fences. Residential and commercial, across Metro Atlanta.

A railing is the one part of a deck, porch, or stairway that takes a person’s full weight, and the part most often found loose, undersized, or below current code.
Alpha installs and replaces railings the way we build fences: posts anchored to the framing, not just the deck boards; height and spacing to code; finishes that stand up to Georgia humidity. New decks and porches, replacements on existing ones, and code updates before a sale or inspection, residential and commercial.
What we install
Deck railing installation
New railings on new decks, and replacements on decks whose railings have loosened, rotted, or never met code. Posts are through-bolted to the framing, so nothing moves when you lean on it.
Stair railing installation & deck stair handrails
Graspable handrails and guard railings on deck stairs, exterior steps, and stoops. Continuous, returned at the ends, and mounted to structure so they hold real weight, not just look the part.
Porch railing installation
Front and back porch railings that suit the house, aluminum, wood, or composite, sized to the porch and to code, without blocking the view from the swing.
Aluminum & metal railing installation
Powder-coated aluminum is our most-installed railing: black is the HOA favorite, it never rusts, never needs paint, and it matches an aluminum fence exactly. Steel where strength matters more than weight.
Exterior handrail & guardrail installation
Guardrails wherever a deck, landing, or walkway sits more than 30 inches above grade, handrails on exterior stairs, and the retaining-wall and drop-off spots an inspector flags. Built to the height and spacing your county requires.
Railing replacement
Rotted wood, rusted iron, and wobbly builder-grade rail swapped for a system that will still be tight in year fifteen. We check the posts and framing underneath first, and tell you if the rail is the only problem.
Commercial railing installation
Guardrails, stair rails, and ADA-compliant handrails for multi-unit properties, offices, retail, and common areas, built to commercial code heights and inspected where required, with the licensing and insurance to match.
Which railing material?
Rail only, or is it the deck?
A loose railing is usually a post problem, and a post problem is sometimes a framing problem. Before we quote a rail swap, we look at what it’s attached to. If the posts and framing are sound, you get a railing quote. If they aren’t, we show you what we found and quote both paths. Either way, it’s the same crew.
What drives the price
Footage, material and style, how many stair runs and corners there are (each one is a post and a fitting), how the posts mount, and whether there’s an old railing to remove. Exact numbers at your free estimate.

What neighbors say
“Al and his workers did a great job! They were polite and knowledgeable and asked for input when there were multiple ways of doing some of the work, which I appreciated. Fair price, great follow-up during quoting phase and quality work.”
